Supporting an active, vibrant, and healthy community.
Our donations support projects that promote active lifestyles, enhance education opportunities, and nurture strong connections within our community. These programs and initiatives make the Bow Valley a better place for people to live, raise families, and enjoy mountain life.
We will fund initiatives that:
• Create opportunities to embrace our mountain culture, education, and recreation
• Make our community a positive place to build a career, live, and raise a family
• Positively impact our social service and community networks
• Improve the visitor experience
• Enhance infrastructure to beautify public areas and promote active transportation.

Bike Month is here 🚲
Bike Month is a celebration of the people, organizations, and communities helping more people get outside, stay active, and connect through cycling.
Across the Bow Valley, local clubs, programs, volunteers, and community partners are creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to ride, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.
From trails and recreation programs to adaptive cycling initiatives and youth development, these efforts help build healthier, more connected communities.
Throughout Bike Month, we’ll be highlighting some of the incredible organizations and initiatives helping make cycling such an important part of life in the Bow Valley. Stay tuned. 🚴

May is Sexual Violence Awareness Month, a time to acknowledge the important work being done across the Bow Valley to build a supportive community.
Through initiatives such as the Harmony Project, @ywcabanff provides compassionate support, education, and resources for individuals impacted by sexualized violence, while helping foster conversations around consent, belonging, and community connection.
We recognize the advocates and community leaders helping create spaces where everyone feels supported, respected, and safe.

Small spaces can make a big impact.
We are proud to support the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley with new topsoil and seedlings for the pollinator garden at École Notre-Dame des Monts and Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy in Canmore 🌱
Originally planted last year, the 12-foot circular garden continues to grow as a space for students, teachers, and pollinators to enjoy together.
Through this project, @biosphere.institute is helping students connect with nature, learn about local biodiversity, and understand the essential role pollinators play in supporting healthy ecosystems.
Active living plays an important role in building healthy, connected, and thriving communities.

Students in the Through the Lens program were thrilled to see their printed photographs at the @banffcentre this week. Over the past few months, they`ve been photographing and developing pictures to tell their own unique stories through 35 mm film.
We`re very proud to support Through the Lens and its comeback to the Bow Valley. Originally started in 1997 at the @whytemuseum, the program worked with high school students from across the Bow Valley until 2017. Last year, it was revived by alumni Nic Latulippe and Soloman Chiniquay 📷
An exhibit with the photos will open at the Whyte Museum in June.
