Supporting an active, vibrant, and healthy community.

Our donations support projects that promote active lifestyles, enhance education opportunities, and nurture strong connections within our community. These programs and initiatives make the Bow Valley a better place for people to live, raise families, and enjoy mountain life.

 We will fund initiatives that:

 • Create opportunities to embrace our mountain culture, education, and recreation
• Make our community a positive place to build a career, live, and raise a family
• Positively impact our social service and community networks
• Improve the visitor experience
• Enhance infrastructure to beautify public areas and promote active transportation.

Our Impact

Since 2013, the Wim and Nancy Pauw Foundation has invested over $14,000,000

Today is Family Day at The Fenlands!

The fun is happening all day—so grab your skates and head over. Activities include skating, curling, shinny, sticks & pucks, and outdoor nature play. There’s something for everyone to enjoy including the chance to skate on one of Canada’s most beautiful natural outdoor rinks.

We’re proud to provide the Pauw Pass to Banff residents, which helps ensure everyone has access to fun and affordable drop-in sports, leisure, and fitness activities.
Mark your calendars: the annual @take.me.outside Winter Challenge runs from February 24 to March 7, 2025! The Winter Challenge encourages educators and learners to take the classroom outside and participate in several winter-themed activities. It’s a great way to embrace winter and foster a love for outdoor learning.

We proudly support Take Me Outside with a two-year, $200,000 funding commitment, reinforcing our belief that active living enhances students’ mental and physical well-being.
It’s never too cold to have fun! This month, while the Grade 2 students at Elizabeth Rummel School are gliding through the trails on their cross-country skis, the Grade 3s are honing their downhill skills on the slopes. These young adventurers are embracing winter, building confidence, and making the most of everything the mountains have to offer.

The Wim and Nancy Pauw Foundation is proud to support these programs and several others through @crpschools ensuring that youth in the Bow Valley can experience the joy of skiing, staying active, and the magic of the outdoors.
@cyancanmore empowers individuals aged 18 to 40 by providing affordable recreational activities, cultural events, and social gatherings that foster community connections. From trivia nights to outdoor adventures, CYAN cultivates inclusive spaces where young adults can meet people, have fun, and thrive. We are proud to continue our support with a $50,000 donation for these initiatives that enhance the well-being and engagement of people in our community.
The True Sport Youth Fund is a vital initiative that ensures local sports and recreation programs in the Bow Valley are accessible to everyone. Managed by the Bow Valley True Sport and Recreation Council (BVTSRC) in partnership with the Wim & Nancy Pauw Foundation, these grants provide financial support to non-profit organizations to enhance programs, cover base funding, and reduce barriers for participants.

Applications are being accepted until February 18.

We believe in the power of the great outdoors and are proud to support Take Me Outside (TMO) with a $100,000 donation. This funding will help expand TMO’s programming in the Bow Valley, encouraging educators and students to get outside every day to learn, play, and explore the world around them.

This builds on a two-year, $200,000 commitment to TMO because we know that being outdoors isn’t just fun—it also supports students' mental and physical well-being.
